What could you do if you had an industrial-sized waffle maker?
I know this sounds a little ridiculous, but that is essentially what the Long Fiber Injection process looks like…making waffles.
LFI parts are produced by pouring a mixture of polyurethane and glass fiber into an open mold (just as you would pour the waffle mixture into a waffle “mold”). The mold is closed and with low compression and heat, the polyurethane is cured and solidified into a stiff, lightweight part that can be up to 11.5’ x 11.5’ in size.
That’s just a quick summary. Get more details and learn more about the LFI process here.
So now that you are a little more familiar with how LFI parts are made, let’s go back to the original question…
What could you do if you had an industrial-sized waffle maker?
We, at Romeo RIM, have perfected the Long Fiber Injection process and are looking to you to find applications for it. But that hasn’t stopped us from projecting what we think it can be used for.
