Romeo RIM hosted Manufacturing Day for students from Armada High School in Armada, MI. The students were guided on a tour of the plant where they learned about the reaction injection molding process and saw a live chemical reaction. They learned what quality means to manufacturing. Using a 3D scanner to create a digital model of sample parts, and even a students’ hand, demonstrated how closely specified the manufactured part is to its model. They also learned about our lean processes. Lean manufacturing allow us to identify and eliminate waste, even in processing. The students played a game that required them to use teamwork and to think about ways to be more efficient.
Mark Gosciewski, Armada High School Assistant Principle had this to say…
” Thanks so much to Romeo RIM for providing a great experience for our students on MFG Day. The program was very organized with a variety of engaging activities throughout the tour. The Romeo RIM team was so friendly and proud of their company – it was great for our kids to see. Students were provided with several gifts and even prizes during a wrap-up Q&A – we really appreciate their generosity. Best MFG Day site visit I have experienced. Thanks again to the team at Romeo RIM – look forward to linking with you next year!”
