Romeo RIM has been featured in the August 10 article, “How A Michigan Injection Molder Overhauled Its Floor for the Future” appearing in the well-known national publication IndustryWeek.
The lengthy piece focuses on how Romeo RIM has grown over the past 35 years from a company manufacturing the largest long fiber injection (LFI) molded parts in the world to the fastest LFI manufacturer to this year’s latest innovation: a state-of-the-art rotary system, taking Romeo RIM’s ability to produce lightweight, class A finish, and b-side detail products with superior stiffness and strength to a whole new level.
As the article points out, “…they literally flipped the switch on what can be described without hyperbole as an LFI game changer — a rotary press system that wheels parts around a track where they are pressed, painted, coated and finished in less than two minutes.”
In detailing specifics of the new rotary system, Industry Week quoted a couple members of the Romeo RIM team — Matt Getty, VP of business and product development, and VP of Operations Tim Howell.
